[open RP meme] The "pester Edgeworth in his office" post, Dreamwidth edition
[Chances are, when you enter room 1202 of the Prosecutor's Office, you'll find High Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth hard at work. He learned the hard way not to be too quick to throw people out when they interrupt him, so as annoyed as he probably will be once he notices your presence, you'll more likely than not get a sufficient chance to justify yourself. Usually.]
[To help clarify the purpose of this post, this is someplace anyone can come tag me if they want -- just start a thread and specify Canonworth, TVKworth, or any other preference! Canons, AUs, OCs, and canon OCs welcome, both AA and non-AA!]

I hope this is okay sob.
Why? Because some punk teenager has just rushed into your office, turned around, and slammed the door shut, all somehow without noticing you. While this would normally be kind of stupid, a pass can probably be given from the fact that the kid is currently bleeding profusely all over your door and floor.
Yeah.]
Shit, shit... shit!
That's what the post is for! (Though here, specifying Canonworth vs. TVKworth is helpful!)
[Edgeworth nearly falls out of his chair at this sudden wounded new arrival. It takes him a couple of seconds for him to regain his balance enough to stand.]
Oh sorry! Haha. TVKworth is fine, if just for possible HOLY SHIT PERSONA messes.
.....oh fuck.]
Who the hell are you?!

Miles might be able to feel this -- it's implied some people can sense it.
I suspect as a Persona-user he'd fall under "some people", so...
Actually, one of the ones who figure it out is just a normal kid, but! Yes.

Canonworth is fine.
Or at least it did. You look away for one second and suddenly there is a literal ninja just there, standing on the top of your couch and pawing through what appears to be a case file fairly curiously.]
Heh, well, this is a surprise. :)
Oh? Why's that?
Ah, are you done, Edgeworth-san?
It's just rare for me to get multiple tags on this at once.
That's a shame! Edgeworth is awesome.
Not a lot of people notice the meme, plus I'm far from the only Edgeworth around.
Ah, that makes sense.
Note that to my mind Canonworth's still got some hangups concerning the supernatural, though...
Oh, I'm sure he does. Oboro is patient, though. Edgeworth's not getting rid of him so easily.

This is what you get for having a time-traveling ninja make case files.

Heh, seems this has grown active this week! :)
Kay?! What are you doing here? Found what, exactly?
...shouldn't you be ASLEEP
Yes. Fortunately for you, my grocery shopping happened a day early.
BED.
OK, OK. ;) It is getting light out, after all...

Long time no see. :>
Needless to day, it called for a small, yet profound bit of self-awareness.
"Good afternoon, Mr. ...Edgeworth!? When did you-..?" greeted the receptionist of the Prosecutor's Building confusedly, "I thought I saw you walk in but ten minutes ago! I did not ...see you... leave."
Without so much as a gaze at her, Edgeworth picked up the newspaper sitting atop the receptionist's desk.
"Perhaps you should pay closer attention. Is this today's paper?"
He scanned the top of the newspaper in order to gauge the point of continuity here in relation to his current residence. Friday, April 20th, 201x. Hm. Friday. Not the best day, but generally better than a Saturday or a Sunday, in any case.
Perhaps the best way to drop by, he thought, would be to announce his intentions in advance. That afternoon (and with no explanation to the confused messenger), he has a handwritten note delivered to his own desk, one of which should read:
04.20.201x
Make time for me this evening. I'll be here at 7 p.m.

TVKworth of course~
He planned to enter the office invisibly at first to get a small idea of the person he was dealing with, but it hadn't occurred to him that a living human might be able to tell he was there anyway. So Edgeworth would get to see a transluscent figure in an outfit remarkably similar to a recently vanished resident of Prospero-identical, in fact, except for the color-and a solid beaked mask with no eye holes simply walk in through the closed doors of his office.*
Oh boy. ;)
Good thing he's accepted the supernatural now, huh~?
Oh, very much so.
It'd probably be a bit too mean to pull something like this on canonworth...
Not that Canonworth would've been able to see him in the first place...
True, but something unusual probably would have come up...
Which would have headed to mean places, yeah.
Nicer to just surprise him a bit with the accidental See Invisibility effect XD

tvk!edgeworth; 1/2
[One: He was no longer in Prospero. Which should have been a serious problem, as leaving there should have placed him in the position he was upon arrival. That place being of course Fuyuki City, with a lance firmly planted in the vicinity of a very vital organ or two. But as it happened, 'no longer in Prospero' somehow translated to 'elsewhere and very much alive'.]
[Well. Sort of alive. That tied in to issue two: He was back to being a Servant. And as with the previous point, that should have come with a whole list of problems. Dying and being summoned again would have meant losing all his memories of the summoning before--of the Fourth War, and by extension Prospero with all that entailed. But he remembered still, clearly as ever. Another problem would be determining who his Master was. While Diarmuid felt no spiritual link or that small tug that would have told him of his Master's location, he also felt no mana deprivation a Masterless Servant would experience. He seemed to neither have an active contract nor be in danger of disappearing for it.]
[And three: Where the hell was he? That one was easily solved, simply by taking an invisible, intangible spirit form and paying attention. The agile and quick Lancer class was suited for scouting out locations, and on top of Diarmuid's usual cleverness it did not take long to determine whose world this was or how to find him.]
no subject
[Diarmuid stood in the office for a long time--half an hour, perhaps--intangible and unseen in spirit form trying to figure out the easiest way to make his presence known. With an increasingly annoyed look as time passed, he finally decided to just get it over with and deal with any resulting problems as they came.]
[And that was the story of how a legendary hero in full black and green armor suddenly materialized without a sound leaning on Edgeworth's bookshelf with his arms crossed.]

Heh, sorry for getting stuck on said thread...
Despite that, though, the prosecutor makes his way to the door and peers through the glass peephole... but doesn't open the door.]
It would be best to leave any relevant materials here and depart. I don't want you to fall ill as well.
[Edgeworth rubs his throat. Speaking up like that in his condition was painful; he definitely wasn't going to be appearing in court soon.]
