[open RP meme] The "pester Edgeworth in his office" post, Dreamwidth edition

[Chances are, when you enter room 1202 of the Prosecutor's Office, you'll find High Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth hard at work. He learned the hard way not to be too quick to throw people out when they interrupt him, so as annoyed as he probably will be once he notices your presence, you'll more likely than not get a sufficient chance to justify yourself. Usually.]

[To help clarify the purpose of this post, this is someplace anyone can come tag me if they want -- just start a thread and specify Canonworth, TVKworth, or any other preference! Canons, AUs, OCs, and canon OCs welcome, both AA and non-AA!]

I can not say I blame you. had I not already seen far stranger I would be inclined to doubt my memory as well.

But that's the other thing...I should have forgotten. Do not misunderstand me, I am incredibly thankful both of us remember things clearly. But the fact that I am still alive with my abilities intact breaks so many rules of the established Servant summoning system that I can not even begin to count them.

[strap yourselves in, folks.]

You know already that I am a hero of mythological times. In order to participate in the conflict known as the Holy Grail War, magi summon people like me into one of seven Servant classes. For example, Kayneth summoned me into the class of Lancer.

Without a contract to a Master, a Servant can not draw the magical energy from them needed to maintain a form like this one. I am definitely dead and definitely a spirit, but as you can see I'm here and quite tangible. Hence the sudden appearance; I've actually been standing here for some time, in spirit form. My first problem arises here--as far as I can tell, I am bound to no Master yet exist as though I were.

[Still with us? Good, there's more.]

As for the part pertaining to my memory... In order to preserve a heroic spirit such as myself as the hero they were in life, if they are to die or disappear then they forget all that had transpired since their summoning. Were it not for Prospero's influence, I would have died and eventually been summoned again into a new war under a new Master. I would not remember Kayneth, Kiritsugu, you, or even Arturia. As you can see, that is not the case despite the return of my Servant body and abilities.

In short, the most basic facts of a summoned Servant and their contract have essentially been tossed out the nearest window.

[Diarmuid paused at that, concentrating for a second or two.]

...Nothing. Though I think a spirit summoning a spirit would be well beyond redundant, so I am not surprised.
croibhristeoir: (look so fine; really wanna make you mine)

I really don't know what to think about any part of this situation as it stands now. If I was going to leave Prospero, why did I not return to Fuyuki...not that I'm eager to, to say the least.
croibhristeoir: (steady but i'm starting to shake)

Oh. Wonderful. More unanswered questions.

Of course I'd not forgotten. Hopefully with the absence of more pressing matters like anything trying to kill us, we'll be able to determine some kind of actual answer.

...then again, that still leaves a few slightly more immediate problems at hand.

Well...what am I supposed to do until we determine just what's happened here? I belong in this world even less than I did in Fuyuki or Prospero. I suppose I could simply remain in spirit form all the time.
croibhristeoir: (i need a fresh start)

[personal profile] croibhristeoir 2012-05-15 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I really don't want to trouble you with anything, but I would be unspeakably grateful for that.
croibhristeoir: (use them and let's start trying)

[bro why are you so formal]

[shut up you are getting a hug]

It is truly wonderful to see you here. No matter how confusing the situation, I am honestly happy to have this chance.

[This is what happens when two awkwardturtles get together.]

Hm? Oh, sorry. [He let go, smiling slightly.]

Hm...actually, that's a good question. I don't think it was too far from here, a bit closer to the center of the city--at least the center as far as I could tell.

That's good, at least. [Lancer paused, looking thoughtful.]

...Actually, this will be my first time in a completely normal human city. I admit I'm a little interested.
