[open RP meme] The "pester Edgeworth in his office" post, Dreamwidth edition
[Chances are, when you enter room 1202 of the Prosecutor's Office, you'll find High Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth hard at work. He learned the hard way not to be too quick to throw people out when they interrupt him, so as annoyed as he probably will be once he notices your presence, you'll more likely than not get a sufficient chance to justify yourself. Usually.]
[To help clarify the purpose of this post, this is someplace anyone can come tag me if they want -- just start a thread and specify Canonworth, TVKworth, or any other preference! Canons, AUs, OCs, and canon OCs welcome, both AA and non-AA!]

I suspect as a Persona-user he'd fall under "some people", so...
[The glowing eyes were mildly surprising, but the vague feeling of... intrusion?... was much more unsettling. Akira gets a glimpse of ponderings of what could possibly have harmed a boy with such power so thoroughly and where those responsible could be now, why he was attacked in the first place, how disturbing this unfamiliar intrusive feeling is, and how much of a pain it's going to be to have blood cleaned off of the floor of his office again, all unfolding in a rather orderly and sprawling mind, before a blue devilfish suddenly cuts in.
Wait, what?]
(Hey! This is our head, kid! Beat it!)
Actually, one of the ones who figure it out is just a normal kid, but! Yes.
What the hell was THAT?!
no subject
I could ask the same of you!

[Akira stands, still seeming a bit off balance. He's dived down into quite a few minds, some of them deep, but that...]
no subject
So you were, in fact, somehow "in my head"?
no subject
[Oh, a question he can answer. Alright.]
Well, yeah. I'm a psychic, ain't 'xactly hard.

[Now that the initial shock is over, however, Akira seems a bit calmer. The layout of your mind, orderly as it was, tipped him off that you're not all that bad a guy, Edgeworth. He doesn't quite feel the need to be completely defensive right now.]

[He doesn't know why you're all that interested, but he's a bit too drained to go out fighting again, so he'll play along. He pulls off his jacket, using it as a sort of makeshift towel to try and clean himself off. Topless is better than bloody, right?]
no subject
Yes, this is Edgeworth in room 1202.
...
I'm aware of that. However, there's a large amount of it in my office.
...
Then find someone before the stain sets, unless you want your next salary evaluation to be highly unfavorable!
...
[Edgeworth sets the handle back down roughly.]
Don't have a picture of it, but Akira's back and arms are pretty heavily scarred, if Edgey'd care.
Which is good, because he's flopping onto your couch, topless, scarred, and all.]
no subject
[Apparently flopping down anywhere while still filthy isn't such a good idea, Akira.]
no subject
Not a clue!
[Yes, that's delivered completely seriously. He asked, didn't he? Maybe if you guys had a shower around here this wouldn't happen.]
no subject
[With that, he carefully heads for the door, trying not to step in any of the bloody areas along the way.]
no subject
Ain't like it's gonna poison you or anythin'.
no subject
[The two pass a rather intimidated-looking janitor as they enter the hall, then Edgeworth leads the way to the men's room. Once inside, the prosecutor rolls up the sleeves of his white shirt, pulls some paper towels from a dispenser, and begins wetting said paper towels down.]
no subject
Of course, he's inspecting a part of his arm as he cleans it.]
Shit. Went deeper than I thought. Ain't gonna be able to move it too well for a while...
[He seems to be talking to himself rather than Edgeworth.]
no subject
[...and that comment earns a frown.] (So that capability of his has limits similar to those of the Dia spells.)
no subject
Sure, can't get it myself. [And as an afterthought, though strangely awkward:] Thanks.
no subject
You mentioned something about "crusaders" upon your arrival. Can you elaborate?
no subject
[He goes a bit quieter when he talks, as if the memory itself is painful.]
...anyway. Came here lookin' for somethin' to help Kaori. Bastards followed me, tried to take me out. Didn't work, but I couldn't fight 'em all off myself. Saw this place, ran in to hide 'til I could heal up.
no subject
Who is Kaori? [Edgeworth sounds inappropriately firm and serious thanks to his train of thought.]
no subject
[And Akira sounds defensive and on edge because of it. There's also an odd aggressiveness to his tone underneath it.]
Sick. Ain't doin' good. Dyin' 'cause no one'll help her.

Your parents can't afford medical treatment? Or do they yet live?

Done!
This is closer to my normal bedtime, so...
Hehe, catch you later?
The question occurs of whether the Dark Hour and related restrictions exist in this thread...
Sure, why not?
It does make Forneus hard to summon and limited in usefulness in normal time, but OK!
I'd imagine Akira active during the Dark Hour anyway, so!
I figured. ;) (And keywords!)
Aww, poor Edgey. D:

The question of the hour: a roach hotel or TVK's own suspiciously-convenient Bay View Hotel?
Taeko would try for the best she could afford, so I'd say Bay View!
